ABOUT ME

Rachel Azzopardi Carbonese

If you are considering hiring a coach to help you to make your vision a reality, I think it is imperative that I introduce myself properly and tell you a bit about my story.

I am 38, I have a 5-year-old son, in a past life I was an English teacher, I worked as a trainer, coach, and manager at a global bank and more recently as a business and development coach. I am a certified coach and PRISM Practitioner. I am also an artist.

The main constant in my life has been painting. I have always drawn and painted, since I was a child, there were periods in my life where my focus was elsewhere (career, family, etc) but somehow I always came back to painting.

I came back to painting after an 8-year hiatus during lockdown, on the onset of the pandemic, where the lull of doing pretty much nothing at home needed to be eased.

That is when my old acrylics (which were stored away for yonks) were brought out, and that is when my first painting in 8 years flowed out of me.

The release was amazing, and I was immediately hooked. Literally. I spent every free moment I could painting, in between work and parenting my son. I eventually moved on to painting portraits in which I attempted to achieve a likeness, and that's when everything really started to change.

I painted a portrait of my father, which I shared on my Facebook page. People started messaging me asking me to paint their family members. I would, and then through word of mouth and sharing my work on my personal Facebook page, I started to gather a collection of orders for commissioned work.

Eventually, the world started to adjust to the pandemic, and my work as a business trainer and development coach started to garner demand again.

Juggling a full-time job and painting was such a huge challenge, something had to give. I love coaching people to be better at what they do, but nothing could come between me and creating. So I decided to flip the paradigm to allow myself to do both with much more focus on what I love to do the most:

Painting, and coaching people to be better at discovering themselves and their path, through creativity.

Today, I spend my days at my home studio, painting and helping people become the best version of themselves through goal setting and self-discovery. I help people to understand the root of their behaviours, why they have developed certain habits, and how to break them. The aim is to support you to meet your goal and hold you accountable for the actions you choose to set along the way.
